The Kinky Machine

The Kinky Machine came to life in early 2024 when Paul ‘Pablo’ Annis and Chris ‘Gussybear’ Gussman met at a Philip Sayce concert after not seeing each other for a few years. The two had been playing in various bands together over the last 3 decades but never really doing their own thing. This time, after a few beers, the idea was to start a power trio with a bluesy backbone in the style of Sayce, Hendrix and Stevie Ray with minimum rehearsing and just get out there having fun. It didn’t take them long before they captured one of the last true survivors of the 60’s ‘acid apocalypse’ Pete Billing on Bass, a long time jamming partner with Pablo. With nothing in their way, and only a handful of jam sessions later, The Kinky Machine was up and running and played their first gig as part of Unfest 2024 in Tunbridge Wells at The Forum. Since then they have supported Troy Redfern and are going from strength to strength and are currently recording their debut EP. Mixing their original songs with a choice of great covers from their bluesy influences, they are one of the few true Power Trios that deliver blistering rhythms and guitar mayhem that reminds of the good times gone by, a band not to be missed!
