Charlie Krikorian is a singer-songwriter from Kent making beautiful acoustic songs with a contemporary sound but a classic feel, reflecting influences ranging from Fleetwood Mac to John Mayer, with skilful guitar playing, melodic vocals, catchy hooks and deeply personal lyrics.
After working hard to help sell-out his shared private shows at The Bedford (Balham) and The Grey Lady (Tunbridge Wells), and following high quality performances in those shows and others, he is branching out into the local music scene playing at Unfest fringe festival and with his own show back at The Grey Lady upcoming.
Charlie started playing an electric guitar when he was 13 years old. Inspired by his guitar teacher, he practised for hours every day, diving into classic rock bands like Led Zeppelin, Guns and Roses, Fleetwood Mac. He loved playing in bands at school and university, performing in rock concerts, at local pub gigs and at open-mic nights.
Growing up his music tastes evolved, and after buying an acoustic guitar he became heavily influenced by the percussive playing styles of guitarists like John Mayer, Newton Faulkner and Jason Mraz, as well as loving at the time emerging artists like Ed Sheeran and Ben Howard.
