Paul & Helen: Piano/Cello Duo

Paul and Helen met in Tunbridge Wells and have been playing together for eight years.

Helen Thomas was awarded a scholarship to Birmingham Conservatoire and graduated with a First Class Honours Degree in music. She took her post-graduate degree at London’s Guildhall School of Music and Drama.  Her Jazz and Pop credits include: Ed Sheeran, Status Quo live in Hyde Park, Wynton Marsalis, Joe Lovano, Robbie Williams, Bryan Ferry, Billy Ocean, The Divine Comedy, Burt Bacharach, Dionne Warwick, Gregory Porter. She currently plays with The London Philharmonic Orchestra.

By contrast Paul Gunn is a self-taught musician. His compositions are inspired by the Progressive Rock of the early 1970s. He has played at Ealing Jazz Festival, Marlborough International Jazz Festival, Rye International Jazz Festival, 1901 Arts Club London, The Pheasantry, The Forum Tunbridge Wells, Kino St. Leonard’s, The Stables Theatre Hastings, Twinwood Festival, Equinox Festival, Hope Sussex Freedom Festival, Great St. Mary’s University Church Cambridge and he will play at Bristol Cathedral this Autumn.
