Old Mercia

Old Mercia are a 5 piece band based in Tunbridge Wells. They play a nice blend of indie folk music with a grungey overtone. Think Neil Young meets The Lumineers and Fleet Foxes with some Mumford and Sons thrown in. Their story involves a huge amount of coincidence. These old school friends, who grew up and played music together, lost touch and moved away from their hometown of Lichfield to start their lives, but 15 years later they discovered that they were all living close to each other in and around Tunbridge Wells. They believe that they were meant to make music together again and have recently had two sell out shows at The Forum Basement,and The Grey Lady respectively, they released their debut EP and also supported the Standard Lamps at a sold out show at The Forum in Tunbridge Wells.

They bring a raw energy to their live shows which will have you foot stompin’ and sing songin’ and are a band not to be missed.
